Tyler Holmes is a writer, director, and producer from Prince George’s County, Maryland who aims to deepen human empathy through character-driven stories. More specifically, his work centers on themes of obsession, ambition, and moral ambiguity.
Known for his titles “Triggerman” (2022), “Crybaby” (2021), and “Cut” (2018), his short films have been screened at various Academy Award-qualifying film festivals including LA Shorts, Holly Shorts, and the Catalina Film Festival.
After working in New York as a news producer at CNN, Holmes’s passion for cinema led him to the University of Southern California. Upon earning his master’s degree from the Peter Stark Producing Program, he was privileged to work alongside filmmaker David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy) whose mentorship amplified his visceral visual style and storytelling.
Holmes currently works as a writer/producer on Apple TV’s Emmy-nominated series FOUNDATION.
